Almost TEN GRAND for a CRX convertible. Yes these convertions are rare, and yeah it looks to be in good shape, you could even argue that the body kit looks good and adds value, but you’d be wrong. Also it has 150,000 miles , and LED blinkers. High miles, and non period mods, in my eyes, takes it straight out of collect i t car territory. I’d say this is a 3 ,000 dollar car all day. Its the same one I posted about a while back because it has the same wheels as my Rabbit.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
The thing is there was a really clean bone stock 86 Si listed in Minneapolis for 4,000 recently and I’m sure the seller got every penny for it. I can’t see this car having any added value. In fact I’d rather have the stock Si.

Perhaps the seller can at least put some effort in to selling it? I mean, it’s a 1984 car he’s trying to sell for 10k. Rarity or not, I want more than a one line description and 3 potato pics.

You can tell by the H3 , looking resplendent with the Fox decal, that the owner has exquisite tastes.

*H3

Ah, that is an H3, that actually might make it worse. Fixed in my original comment.

I think the whole idea of the H3 is worse than the H2, but H2 owners are objectively more terrible.

Minnesota + shitty fiberglass body kit = they’re hiding rust.

Could be. Altho being a convertible it was probably spared the salt and snow. My 84 VW is a Minnesota car and it’s “rust free”

I have PTSD from rust. It happens growing up a car guy in Minnesota. After moving out of the rust belt I’m amazed by what passed for “clean” in my youth.

I have a strict “no rust” policyfor my cars. The Rabbit has a couple scrapes that violate that policy but it’s got a solid chassis and rockers

You haven’t lived until you buy a 87 volvo 240 (before the chassis was galvanized at the factory) from Massachusetts. The gas tank was mostly rust and broken seams. Everything under neath was rust.

Say hello to my late Minnesota friend. It was worse than it looks.

the unevenly non-round design of the wheel arches is... lets say interesting

I could legitimately be called Oppo’s resident convertible apologist. But this thing does nothing for me.

Yeah that body kit isn’t doubt them any favors. And the original CRX aid really meant to have a two tone paint job

If it was a stock CRX with half the mileage in mint condition
, then it might be worth that much.
